To Pay Your Electricity Bill Online
How to register a DHBVN complaint
The 24×7 helpline 1800-180-4334 covers power cuts, voltage issues, meter faults and billing complaints for all of DHBVN’s area, Gurugram included. Keep your 10-or-12-digit account number from any old bill ready; the agent logs a complaint number which you should note for follow-ups. Complaints can also be filed by SMS and WhatsApp channels DHBVN announces from time to time, and on the consumer portal at dhbvn.org.in.
Paying your electricity bill
Online payment works through dhbvn.org.in, the UHBVN/DHBVN consumer app, and every major UPI app (search for DHBVN under electricity billers on Paytm, PhonePe, Google Pay or your bank app) using the account number. Cash and cheque counters run at the subdivision offices listed above during working hours, Monday to Saturday roughly 9 am to 5 pm, though online payment posts faster and avoids the queue entirely.
New connections, load changes and name transfer
Applications for new connections, load enhancement and change of name go through the DHBVN consumer portal with uploaded ownership proof, ID and a photograph; the subdivision office then schedules the site inspection. For property transactions, clear outstanding dues first, since no-dues certificates come from the subdivision where the meter is registered.
Escalating unresolved problems
If a logged complaint sits unresolved, escalate with the complaint number to the subdivision’s SDO, then the executive engineer, both reachable through the office addresses above. Persistent billing disputes can go to DHBVN’s consumer grievance redressal forum, and compensation rules exist for prolonged unscheduled outages, so always keep the original complaint number.
