How to reach Gurgaon railway station
The station sits on Railway Road on the old-city side, about 6 km from Iffco Chowk and 8-9 km from Cyber City, so budget 25-40 minutes from new Gurgaon in traffic. Autos run fixed-ish rates from Old Gurgaon’s markets; app cabs pick up from the station forecourt. There is no metro link to the station itself; Iffco Chowk on the Yellow Line extension and Huda City Centre remain the nearest metro points, both needing an onward auto or cab ride.
Trains and where they go
Gurgaon (GGN) lies on the Delhi–Rewari–Jaipur line. Most services are passenger and express trains toward Rewari, Alwar and Jaipur on one side, and Delhi Cantt, Delhi Sarai Rohilla and New Delhi on the other, which makes the station most useful for Rajasthan-bound travel without crossing Delhi. For long-distance routes east and south, New Delhi (NDLS) and Hazrat Nizamuddin still offer far more choice; many Gurgaon residents also use Delhi Cantt, one stop up the same line.
Facilities at the station
Expect the basics of a three-platform suburban station: computerised reservation and UTS unreserved ticket counters, a waiting hall, drinking water, a parcel office and paid two-wheeler and car parking in front. Food options are limited to small stalls; eat before you travel or carry food for longer journeys. Foot overbridges connect the platforms, but there are no escalators, so travellers with heavy luggage should ask a porter.
