Updated October 2026. Officials transfer frequently in Haryana’s administration, so instead of a static list that goes stale, this page keeps the key verified contacts and shows you where the live, official directories are.

Key offices in Gurugram

Deputy Commissioner (DC): Shri Uttam Singh, IAS (as of October 2026). Office: First Floor, Mini Secretariat, Rajiv Chowk, Gurugram 122001. Phone: 0124-2321144. Email: dcgrg@hry.nic.in. Full profile in our DC Gurugram guide.

Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG): civic complaints (sanitation, roads, streetlights, property tax) via the MCG helpline 18001801817 and mcg.gov.in.

Police Commissionerate: dial 112 for emergencies; the Commissioner of Police office sits near Sohna Chowk, with cyber-crime complaints at cybercrime.gov.in or helpline 1930.

Electricity (DHBVN): 24×7 complaint line 1800-180-4334; offices and billing details in our DHBVN Gurgaon guide.

Where to verify any official’s current name and number

The district’s Who’s Who page at gurugram.gov.in/about-district/whos-who lists serving officers with phone numbers and is updated after transfers; MCG, GMDA and HSVP each publish their own officer directories on their websites. For state-level escalation, CM Window (cmharyana.gov.in) routes grievances to the responsible officer regardless of who currently holds the post.

Escalation that actually works

Start with the department’s own helpline and get a complaint number; escalate with that number to the SDO or executive-level officer from the directory; and if it still stalls, raise it at the DC’s public hearing or on CM Window. Written complaints with reference numbers move faster than fresh verbal ones at every level.

Which office handles what

Knowing the split saves weeks. MCG owns garbage, internal colony roads, parks, stray cattle and property tax inside municipal limits. GMDA runs the master roads, city buses, main water supply and drainage trunk lines. HSVP (formerly HUDA) deals with plot and sector-level estate matters in HSVP sectors. DTCP regulates private builder colonies and licences. DHBVN is electricity. Address the complaint to the owning agency and copy the DC office only for escalation; misrouted complaints are the single biggest cause of dead-end grievances in Gurugram.
